This is a great example of the gun the won the West…. Winchester 1873 .44-40 round barrel, full magazine.
This rifle has the vast majority of it’s original bright factory blue on the receiver. Barrel & mag have mixture of original blue going to plum… some limited blotchy areas but far far above average. Good sharp markings.
24″ round barrel with a far above average bright shiny bore. Most screws untouched, left sideplate screw has been turned/burred with circular gouging around screwhead on the side plate.
Nice factory sights. Wood is very nice, sound, unsanded, no cracks or holes. considerable original varnish remains. Far far above the norm for an ANTIQUE 1873. Nice figure in the bottom of the forend.
